The Reel Pleasure's Crew

Captain Greg Kaufmann

Greg Kaufmann has been a licensed USCG captain for 20 years, and has fished the Big Island waters for over 15 years. He has won several local prestigious tournaments and is on record for Hawaii's largest Sailfish in 2000.

Captain Greg Kaufmann

His fishing career began in 1982 in Southern California’s Dana Point Harbor where he fished the waters from Newport Beach to the tip of Mexico. Greg started working for Reel Pleasure in 1995 when it was owned by Ed Gordy, the original owner. In 1999 Reed Harmon bought the company and its 36’ Topaz (The original Reel Pleasure). Greg continues to love fishing and in particular fishing the Big Island's Kohala Coast! Greg's 2nd love is diving. When he’s not fishing, you may find him on the Kohala Diver enjoying a few dives. Greg and his wife Rebekah own and manage Kohala Divers located on the mooring beside Reel Pleasure.

Bob Beach

Bob also started his fishing career in Dana Point, California in 1982. In fact he and Greg were in school together from a young age and were both lured into the world of fishing around the same time. Bob started working for Reel Pleasure in 2006 and is a great asset to the team. His lively sense of humor, his fishing expertise and great way with kids make him a fun part of the day. He may even get you to kiss a fish before the day is done!
